For many couples, a traditional church wedding is the ultimate dream; for others, not so much. If you’re planning a Maui wedding, we hope you have chosen one of our Maui condo rentals to enjoy a bit of luxury and total relaxation during the most romantic, exciting, and memorable events of your life – and, if you’re not the traditional wedding type and are looking to take a walk on the wilder side, there are plenty of wedding destinations you’ll fall in love with!

People from all around the world come to Maui to tie the knot, and it’s no wonder, considering the island’s magnificent beauty, tropical landscape and romantic environment. Who doesn’t love the beach, ocean, lush foliage, or spectacular waterfalls? We’ve included some of the best wedding destinations below if you’re in search of a “wild” wedding.

If a spectacular view of Molokini Crater is your idea of the perfect wedding, take a helicopter ride from Maui to Molokini Lookout, located just 2 1/2 miles offshore from the Wailea Golf Course. Not only will you enjoy gorgeous views from the air, you can’t imagine the marine life you’ll see in the crystal clear waters – amazing.

Beach weddings are always a popular choice, but the excessive heat and sand at these lower elevations can be a bit much for some brides who prefer not to have sand in their hair or mascara and eyeliner running down their faces. If magical panoramic views and comfortable temperatures for you and your guests sounds wonderful, consider the slopes of Maui’s Haleakala Volcano at Ulupalakua Ranch. Truly a paradise setting, and the ideal location from which to view neighboring islands, including Lana’i, Molokai, and Kaho’olawe. You have to see it to believe it!

If a waterfall wedding sounds peaceful and secluded, jump on a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter for a scenic private ride to the Big Island, where there are gorgeous waterfalls accessible by helicopter. After the ceremony, you and your new “significant other” may want to spend some time touring the Big Island and doing a little shopping, or even island hop before returning to Maui for the evening.

Wherever you decide to tie the knot, those who are a bit more adventurous will want to drive (or take a tour) of the Road to Hana, where there are so many sights you’ll want to make a list before you go. This 64 mile stretch of highway is where you’ll find the Kaupo General Store, packed full of character; Grandma’s Coffee House; Hana Town, rich in history and culture; Hana Lava Tube; the Nahiku Marketplace; and countless waterfalls, state parks, and the Waikamoi Ridge Trail. You’ll want to leave early in the morning for this adventure!

Maui is one of the most beautiful, romantic areas in the world, whether you prefer a wedding on the “wild side,” a beach wedding, or any other venue. Regardless of where you plan to say “I do,” be sure to spend your honeymoon night in one of our beautiful Maui condo rentals!
