Many people travel to Maui for the beaches, sand, fabulous sunsets, snorkeling, etc. As one of the premier Maui condo rental resorts, we know that some people prefer those activities and spots that are off the beaten path. Not to worry, there are plenty of spots that guarantee you’ll have the most memorable vacation, ever! We’ve included a few examples below.

Hale Ho’omana Spa. If feeling pampered and empowered sounds amazing, you won’t want to miss this Maui gem, located on the Mt. Haleakala slopes. While the spa offers Maui Eco Tours, cultural activities, and more – you’ll enjoy indulging all of your senses in these healing and organic spa treatments, whether you choose an herbal facial, the Lomi Lomi massage, hot stone therapy, or other treatments or therapies. Private, luxurious – the ideal way to rejuvenate mind, body and soul.

How about a “secret” beach? Many beaches on Maui are packed with tourists, and while many vacationers enjoy the crowds, it may not be your cup of tea. Pa’ako Cove, in Makena on the South side of Maui, is where you’ll find a beautiful beach that rarely has visitors, but offers great snorkeling in an intimate setting. Enjoy the calm environment and gorgeous tropical fish, or just take in the heavenly surroundings.

Hike at West Maui’s Nakalele Blowhole. The name may sound a little strange, but this wonder was created naturally as the shoreline deteriorated beneath a lava shelf. The result is similar to a geyser, and it’s spectacular to see. If you enjoy hiking, you’ll want to put the Nakalele Blowhole on your list, as you can access it via two different hiking trails that take about 30 minutes. The terrain is rocky, so be prepared! The hike is well worth it, once you experience this spectacular creation of mother nature.

The Sacred Garden of Maliko, the Paia Stupa on Maui’s North shore, and the incredible Bamboo Forest en route to Hana, are other “hidden gems” you’ll want to visit if you enjoy activities, culture, and exploring out-of-the-way spots, rather than crowded or commercial tourist spots.
