Explore the Maui Ocean Center

Maui Ocean Center exhibits only marine life that is found in Hawaii’s waters, creating the perfect opportunity to learn more about the many species that call this area home. Tropical fish, sea turtles, sharks, stingrays, octopuses, and sea jellies are just a few of the creatures you’ll get to observe from a close vantage point. The Turtle Lagoon is a favorite exhibit, featuring views of Hawaiian green sea turtles from both the surface and under water. These ancient creatures reach up to four feet long and 300 pounds, making them the largest hard-shelled sea turtles in the world.

Linger in the walk-through tunnel, where it will feel as if you’re underwater as sharks, stingrays, and other marine life swim around and above you. The 3D Sphere provides a 3D underwater experience with whales making it feel as if you have truly entered their underwater world. This show is for anyone ages four and over and is sure to be memorable.

The lives of Native Hawaiians have always been tied to the sea, and the cultural exhibits at the best aquariums in Maui are a good place to explore these connections. Enjoy being immersed in the history, culture, and traditions that began with navigating the sea by stars.

Whether you’re looking for something to do on a rainy day or you simply want to take advantage of the unique opportunity to learn more about Hawaii’s majestic marine life, the Maui Ocean Center is a great option for staying entertained throughout the afternoon!
